Whole30 - Day 18

As if I don't have enough reasons to love the health and wellness gurus, Dallas and Melissa Hartwig, of The Whole9... I woke up on Day 18 to see THIS on their Facebook update:

Thank you, Dallas and Melissa, for making an official statement about what goes through my mind every time I see those annoying motivational memes wallpapering Facebook updates.

Starting the day with a little reminder that I am thrilled to be in my own skin, my food choices fell right into line...

Breakfast:
• 2 pastured eggs, scrambled with a few splashes of fish sauce and Penzeys Turkish Seasoning (I got the fish sauce idea from NomNomPaleo.com and as usual am very happy with the result)
• Grass-fed hamburger
Avocado and Tomatillo Salsa
• Leftover Turkish Chopped Salad from our Father's Day lunch at Matt's parents

Matt was out of town for the evening and I was too busy running errands, packing, and stifling my enthusiasm for my upcoming Mother-Daughter Vegas trip to concern myself with food for the rest of the day.  I wasn't really hungry until I stopped moving which was late into the evening... at which point, I grabbed a small snack and then prepared for bed.

Evening Snack:
• macadamia nuts

Prepare yourselves... the next few day will prove that you CAN eat Paleo in Las Vegas and leave the city lighter than you went in.  And I'm not talking about your wallets falling victim to penny Press Your Luck slots either!
